Roger F. Hruby, age 82, at rest August 12, 2017 surrounded by his loving family at home in Burr Ridge, IL. Beloved husband of the late Nadeane Lee Hruby (nee: Menees) for 58 years. Loving father of Roger (Kate), Sherry Andersen, Thomas, Bret, Brenda Hruby and Julie (Jeff) Jessup. Devoted grandfather of Heather (Billy) Green, Lisa Hruby (Mandy), Taylor, Kylie and Cole Andersen, Bret, Jr; Mitchell and Brittaney (Pat) Bushell, Brianna, Bailie and Tanner Giesel, Tommy, Jr; (Jen), the late Reed, Brooke and Braeden Hruby, Jake and Brock Jessup. Cherished great-grandfather of Haylie, Trasen and Avery Green, Troy and Ethan Hruby, Dean, Beau, Ella, Crain and Stone Hruby and Trace McDarrah. Dear brother of Karen (Don) Wiley and the late Cy (Joanne) Hruby. Roger was preceded in death by his parents Frank Hruby and Ruth Michalek. Roger F. Hruby served as the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Partner of RedShift Energy LLC. Mr. Hruby served as the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of RedShift Capital LLC. He served as the Chief Executive officer of CFC International Inc until October 1, 2004 and served as its President until June 1995 and from January 1998 to January 1999. Mr. Hruby formed CFC International Inc. in 1986. He has been involved in the specialty chemical industry since 1958. He served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of CFC International Inc.'s predecessor, Bee Chemical, from 1977 to 1985 and also served as its Chief Executive Officer. He guided the development of specialty coatings for the furniture and automotive industries and oversaw the joint venture with Nippon Paint. He supervised the growth of Nippon and supervised its growth from a start-up venture to a significant manufacturing company with annual sales in excess of $40 million. He served as a Member of Operating Advisory Board at Prism Capital Corporation. He served as the Chairman of CFC International Inc since 1986. He has served on many Boards including the Young President's Organization, University of Chicago Executive Alumni Association and the National Hearing Research Association. He had served on the Board of Trustees and as Chairman of the Board at North Central College. In 1998, Mr. Hruby was named “Entrepreneur of the Year” and became a member of the Entrepreneurial Hall of Fame in the Chicago Area. He was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Science Degree on June 11, 2011 from North Central College. Mr. Hruby earned an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago and a B.S. in Chemistry from North Central College. Visitation Tuesday August 15th from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Adolf Funeral Home 7000 S. Madison Street, Willowbrook. Visitation Wednesday August 16th from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the funeral home proceeding to Burr Ridge United Church of Christ 15W100 Plainfield Road, Burr Ridge, for the Funeral Service at 11:00 am.
