Loving wife, best friend, and business partner of Jay Medlin. An educator, mentor and loving mother to Zach Medlin. Debbie left us on November 9th, 2017 with great memories, knowledge, and a desire to want to carry on her legacy of courage, kindness, giving, sharing, thoughtfulness, and boldly inspiring all of us to move forward with goals, dreams and aspirations.
We will miss Debbie’s beautiful smile her big heart that was always giving back to everyone she knew. She has been such an inspiration to so many and was always there to give a helping hand.
Debbie was a 4th grade school teacher at Willow Springs Elementary until 2001 when Zach came into our lives then she became the Secretary/Treasurer and business partner at Medlin Communications which is owned by her and her husband Jay.
The Matriarch of our family is no longer here on earth with us, but we know she will be watching over all of us.

Step mother Joyce Tarra, brothers Bob Wilson, Kevin Wilson (Carrie), Adopted mother Lois Popish (Dennis), Father In-law Melvin Medlin, Sister In-law to Sharon (Tom) McGovern, Jerry (Jean) Medlin, and Brandon (Noreen) Medlin, Wonderful Aunt to Haley, Abby, Matt (Jess), Nick, Christian, Cole, and Gabrielle and recent great aunt to Dalton. Godmother to Laurie Tarra and Matt McGovern.
Beloved Daughter of the late James and Joyce Tarra, granddaughter to the late Rowene Tarra and daughter in-law to the late Kathryn Medlin.
Debbie will be truly missed by so many family members, friends and students.

Waked: Sunday, Nov. 12th from 3:00pm until 8:00pm at Adolf Funeral Home 7000 South Madison St. Willowbrook 630-325-2300
Funeral is Monday, Nov. 13th, starting 8:30am at the funeral home and then proceeding to Saint John of the Cross Church in Western Springs where the Mass will begin at 9:45am.
Interment will be at Fairmount Willow Hills Cemetery in Willow Springs.
