Edward A. Karasek, age 96, of Berwyn, IL passed away at his home on November 22, 2017. Beloved husband of 65 years of Mary Hapac Karasek, who preceded him in death.  Loving father of Edward (Nancy) A. Karasek, Jr. and proud uncle to his nieces and nephews.  Ed was a retired automobile dealer and a decorated veteran of the Army Air Corps, having flown C-47s in China Burma India during World War II.  Loyal supporter of and friend to many in the community, Ed served as Commissioner and Secretary of the Berwyn Park District for 51 years until his death.  Ed also was a member of the Berwyn Kiwanis Club for more than 60 years and an active supporter of the club’s good works. He was also a member of many other civic organizations and the Commodore Barry Post of the American Legion.  Visitation will be held Sunday, November 26, 2017 from 3:00-8:00pm at Adolf Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Ltd.  2921 S. Harlem Ave. Berwyn.  Funeral service Monday, November 27, 2017 Prayers 9:15am at the Funeral Home followed by Mass 10:00am at St. Leonard Church 33rd and Clarence Ave. Berwyn.  Interment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Berwyn Park District 3701 S.
